Frequently Asked Questions

CBD stands for Cannabidiol and is one of the naturally occurring cannabinoid chemical compound found in cannabis plants, such as hemp. There are over 113 cannabinoids isolated from cannabis, all with varying effects.

CBD is legal in the UK as long as it contains less than 0.2% THC, which is a controlled substance under the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971. All our CBD products are well withing the limit for THC and are made with only the highest quality CBD.

Despite widespread scientific research there has been no evidence that CBD is unsafe. At Pulse CBD our customers health & safety is of our upmost priority. We are very particular with the ingredients we use and our manufacturing process to ensure our products are 100% safe. If you have any doubts or concerns, please do consult your doctor.

THC is the essential compound that causes intoxication, CBD does not have this affect as it is derived from a different part of the hemp plant. Our products only contain trace amounts of THC as a by-product of the CBD making process.

CBD has proven medically beneficial primarily, for seizures and epilepsy but has been perceived as a natural remedy for many common ailments, since 2900 B.C. people have been using cannabis for pain relief, recent studies show that CBD is the compound responsible for the pain-relieving affect experienced with cannabis. By extracting CBD, consumers can get the pain relief they seek without the intoxicating affects that comes with cannabis. CBD has also been found responsible for alleviating anxiety and depression, reducing acne and might even have neuroprotective properties.

Pulse CBD products will not fail you in a drug test. Crucially THC is the only cannabidiol capable of producing positive results during a test. Rest assured that all our products are made with either completely THC free CBD isolate or CBD distillate which contains only trace amounts (lab tested at 0.09%) and is extremely unlikely to show up on a drugs test. To put this in to perspective, in order to have any risk of hitting the legal THC limit of 50 ng/mL you would need to consume over 6000mg of our CBD distillate in one day, or in other words, 3.5 full bottles of our premium Gold Edition tincture.

The majority of consumers take CBD orally using oral drops. To do so, the desired amount should be placed under the tongue and allowed to sit for 30 – 60 seconds before swallowing. The second most popular way to administer CBD is by vaping in the form of CBD infused e-liquid. For those who are not comfortable with the oral drops or vaping can enjoy any of our other products which include: Gummy bears, bath bombs and lotions.

Start with a small dosage of 20-40mg of CBD per day and increase slowly until you reach your desired effect. Your ideal dosage of CBD depends on a lot of factors, like your body weight, body chemistry, the condition you’re treating, and the concentration of CBD in the product you’re using.

There is a complex endocannabinoid system already present in your body that enhances different functional areas of your overall internal system, when CBD is present. The endocannabinoid system has receptors which await cannabinoid molecules. The process in which the receptors bind to cannabinoid molecules in the body is what creates the elaborate chemical reaction that releases all the beneficial affects felt when using CBD. These receptors have been found in virtually every cell and tissue type in the human body, hence the seemingly endless array of uses for CBD.
